Bindi Girl 2: Surrendering to the Soul of India - Available NOW!
My new book is here! Spiritual travel adventure tales to inspire your soul.
“A Genuine Spiritual Bad-Ass.” — J. Stewart Dixon
I am thrilled to announce that Bindi Girl 2: Surrendering to the Soul of India is available today on Amazon! An irreverent and spiritual journey with all the colorful, fun, and sacred stories to round out The Soul of India trilogy.
This has been a very long time coming. I began working on these books twenty years ago, continuing whilst traveling and living for a combined five years throughout the Indian subcontinent. At the time, I thought to myself, “Maybe I’ll write a trilogy.” Well, leave it to an Aquarius to finish what they start. I did it! Spiritual contract completed!
I was so happy to receive a Foreword from one of my mentors, James Fadiman, PhD, author of The Psychedelic Explorer's Guide.
It’s quite an emotional outpouring to finish a large body of work. One thing I am grateful for is that I don’t need to prove anything to anyone. I did this for the Art. The Muse. The Love. The Gratitude. The Writing Itself. And, for You.
India woke my ass up and broke my heart open. She also gave me my spiritual teacher, and the ability to be at peace no matter what. No matter what. Unconditionally.
I’m truly hopeful that you find joy and inspiration in the tales. You can read the trilogy in any order. Bindi Girl 2 herself is a short story collection that can be opened up anywhere. It also includes off-the-beaten-path travel tips and tricks that are entertaining as well as practical. And, there are love stories, mysteries, dramas, tragedies, comedies, and lots of train trips that may open your heart and mind to new vistas and perceptions on Life. Whether you’re an Indophile, a traveler within or without, or you just plain love good writing - I think you’ll dig BG2.
Please leave a review if you like! I APPRECIATE YOU ALL VERY MUCH.
Namaste,
Erin Reese
For the better part of a decade, Erin Reese aka Bindi Girl traversed the subcontinent of India with nothing more than a backpack and fervent love for a land, a people, and a free life. In this long-awaited sequel to The Adventures of Bindi Girl and Truth Seeker, Reese completes the trilogy.
In her respectfully irreverent fashion, she presents us with all the remaining spiritual travel tales fit to print. Bindi Girl 2 is for those who long and lust for raucous inner and outer travel, who are willing to risk it all to experience truth, and who heed the deepest urgings of the soul.
From the Preface
“My original intention for this great quest was to pull a sort of modern woman’s version of Thoreau’s Walden. I wanted to discover who I was without the trappings of contemporary life, without the pressure to build a career, a relationship, an identity of any kind. I wanted to see how I truly felt about everything. Were my values, ideas, and dreams really mine, or were they conditioned and told to me? Only by being alone, wandering and observing, listening and writing, breathing and being, in a place so radically different from my homeland, would I be able to hear and trust the deeper voice of Soul.”

Wow! Congratulations, Erin! Thank you for sharing your gifts with the world! I am sure that your experiences and insights will touch the lives of many. May your work continue to bring light and wisdom into the world!
