On December 1, we welcome the New Moon in the mutable fire sign of Sagittarius, the visionary and expansive Archer. This is a lunation with an important and paradoxical twist.
Even while Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius wants to shoot for the heavens and magnify and amplify, the square to Saturn calls for temperance, limitation, and wise discernment. We’ve got to pare down expectations and striving for more, more, more – lest we crash and burn in a very ugly fashion.
The theme is EXPOSING THE TRAP OF EXCESS.
In this short audio, I discuss subtle ways greed shows up in our lives including spiritual materialism, striving for perfect health and wellness, and lust for experiences and stimulation. I share how the Sabian Symbol for this New Moon1 evokes a warning of the danger of unconscious growth and expansion. We also see how spaciousness and simplicity reveal the true gift of the season: a right-sized vision reflecting one’s needs and true nature. We learn to relish SOULFUL BOUNTY.
