Oh, my gosh. I NEEDED this so much. First, I just love your writing, Erin. You are one of the most readable writers I know and you're able to communicate really deep stuff in ways I can digest. Morning pages, piano . . . I wake up and grab my phone and start reading. I get sucked into that little screen and it takes tremendous effort to get out of it. I need a new morning routine. (I also need a night guard for the grinding; I ground through my last two!).
Thank you for sharing the gift of your writing, Erin.
I "hack" my life in various ways to keep habits from digging in. If I'm drinking too much coffee, I'll downgrade with half decaf and start having matcha tea later in the morning. It's a much smoother lift and has numerous health benefits over coffee. Living in the Pacific Northwest affords me the benefits of hiking as opposed to 'couch-potatoing' and various antidotes exist for my bad behaviors...Lately I find myself revisiting old territory though. The winter here is setting in and soon the darkness and rains will be unrelenting. What to do? I'm excited to hear your version of antidotes and am inspired to do my own morning pages. Thanks for the tip!

Thank you so much, Lynn! I am keeping up with my no-phone zone. Hope you feel a difference if you unplug first, too! 💖 And I do love my nightguard.
I hear this! 💛
Absolutamundo!

Hi GiGi, thanks! I also drink half decaf and put lots of good things in my coffee... Collagen powder, lion's mane, coconut oil, etc...
I hear you on the darkness and habits. I have plenty myself, some better than others.
Getting outside is a number one priority, even with high winds. Guess I'll get out right now!
Best wishes with the morning pages, too. 😊
