In this short talk, I point to three signatures of awakening that are helpful to know about, even if they may or may not arise in an individual’s direct experience of liberation. It’s a casual talk, presented in a satsang to my regular students. I post here for those readers interested in such teachings.
Listen here or on Apple Podcasts or Spotify or watch the video below or YouTube.
These three pointers arise from traditional Vedanta Jñāna (wisdom) teachings: shravana (listening to truth), manana (reflection on truth), and nididhyāsana (assimilation and abiding in truth).
For more information on Sunday morning Zoom satsang with myself in a small group setting, RSVP here.
May you find relief in these timeless wisdom teachings.
Love,
Erin
Note: These teachings are derived from the Brihadaranya Upanishad (Sanskrit: great wilderness; sitting with a teacher). Special thanks to fellow Advaita teacher Rajiv Kapur for his article "3 Pillars of Vedantic Practice: Shravana, Manana, Nididhyasana," which inspired me to share this with my own sangha.
